Happy International Coffee Day!

It's the first day of October and I'm still sick with the bad lingering cough. The cough is the last thing to disappear whenever I get a cold or the flu. It can last for 2 or even 3 weeks each time. This is due to my allergies and asthma.

A mostly sunny day today with a top of 22 degrees degrees C.

Still not doing much but I may need to force myself to venture out today as I am running out of toiletries tissues ( my nose is running all the time) , juice fruit veg cleaning products etc.

Just applied online for another part time job .

Looks like another do nothing day today Just can't get rid of this cough.

The package I sent to JJ Time was received by them so I'm happy it didn't get lost as the post office staff members did not know ow what WV stood for .

Friday 4th October 2024

Wel it's school holidays and it's also Labor Day Long Weekend so I'm escaping Sydney again but only over night back Sat night late. I'm still getting over my cold and it's just a lingering cough left but my nose is still running and my eyes itchy  and watery but that's just seasonal allergies. Wearing a mask helps.

Today I caught the hills bus to Crows Best Metro this morning ( the yellow hills bus is better for catching the Metro because stops almost in front of the metro station at Crows Nest instead of all the other buses which stop across the road from the Metro which is annoying). I had the option to get off at St Leonards to catch the slow train to Central but why if you can catch the Metro train!

At Central it was a quick breakfast of  a chicken souvaki on an unbuttered unsauced brown bread with lettuce - borng but it does not need any more oil or flavour. It was then a toilet stop and a walk down to Pitt St to meet the Murray's 11 am bus to Canberra.

I arrived in Canberra about 5 minutes or so late but that was because traffic in Sydney via the airport was pretty busy being a Fri and school holidays as well as a public holiday long weekend.

First a toilet stop then it was find my way to The Village where I was staying for the night before heading to Floriade Night Fest.  I must have asked 10 locals how to get there and were wrong , it took me from 2.30 pm - 4 pm to find my way there and it was just a 15 min Max walk from Jolimont Coach Terminal where I arrived! Checking in was a hassle as you had to download the GOKI app. Last time I stayed there it was manual check in now there are signs and codes everywhere.

So I finally found my room and punched in the code - later to find out from my room mate that you can tap to get into the room and to get in the front door you need to tap there is no manual punch code

Spoke to and got to know my room mate . It was Friday night and there were only

Monday

I spent the day sorting my laundry,  paying bills and mostly catching up uploading my videos onto my YouTube channel and watching YouTube channels. There seems to be quite a few YouTubers who seem to be copying my style of minimal or no editing of videos uploaded and raw commentaries rather then edited voice over also varying their content creation to be more diverse rather then sticking to one subject.

Today something fell in the fridge and split the side drink holder container. The fridge is not mine it was a new replacement but when I got it to replace the original fridge (which was even worse when I moved in and never worked properly and was always freezing up on one side and not at on all on the other therefore I asked for a replacement black one) it started feeling up really badly again and I had to keep defrosting it and kept the temperature control down at 1 . There was always a weird chemical smell in it and when I tested the seal with a sheet of paper it failed from the beginning. The other thing very wrong with it was that one of the glass shelves that comes with the fridge is useless as it does not even fit properly in any of the shelves in the slots and keeps falling out of them hence falling down. The shelf is too narrow for the width of the slots and there is only one way it can slide in as there is a "bias" along one side of it preventing it from sliding glass into the slots the wrong way.

A very wet and top of 20 degrees C today. Not storms but it's constantly raining this morning.

My morning was taken up by attending the Telstra AGM. This AGM alternates between Sydney and Melbourne each year according to my research. I have not attended many Telstra AGMs in the past but occassional when I do it's usually the ones in Melbourne. This yesterday it was Sydney's turn and helt at the Hyatt Regency on Sussex Street. And I would have to agree with another Sydney resident shareholder thank goodness I decided not to attend including person this morning!!!!Registration started at 8.30 am and it was still raining constantly and the meeting went on from 9.30 am normal starting time to 12.50 pm!!!! It dragged on and on about how bad Telstra's customer service is with question after question from shareholders in regards to this ongoing issue with Telstra. No wonder shareholders need to be provided with a free lunch afterwards!!!!!!!!! I actually stayed online for the webinar to the end but fell asleep somewhere in the middle of it.  The other thing was right at the very end ( I did question it earlier but was not that concerned) was someone asked why can't shareholders vote online via ask a question? yes why can't I vote online? Doesn't this addect the outcome of all items on the agenda at the AGM if not some of them? Does my vote as an original shareholder count?

Now it's is lunch time , the rain has stopped so maybe I can go to SXSW again - no I have laundry to do. I have put this off for too long now.

The bins were put out last night thank goodness as they were all full.

The rain has stopped however the temperature hardly reached 18 degrees C

From what I remember studying economics as part of my accounting qualifications there is more to lowering inflation then just increasing interest rates. This is not a holistic approach to economics. A trip out to Maxwuarie shopping Centre on the Metro for another big groceryshop at Adi Coles & the green grocer there. Best & Less is closed for renovations upon arrival - disappointed! Love spending time browsing through the store for selective bargains!

Home late as I always lose track of time when I go to Macquarie Shopping Centre.

Made sure I saw my neighbour downstairs and gave him a punnet of jumbo blueberries as I know he likes them but keeps forgetting to order them with his online grocery shops. He wanted some alcohol as well but I am not keen to get him some in case he self harms or becomes addicted to alcohol - besides mixing alcohol and pain medication is not a good combination ( not that he is addicted to anything - he looks as if he is toughing out the pain most of the time then self medicating). I don't want to be responsible for his accidental death and often joke about how I don't want to deal with the fire brigade,  police and ambulance again over another dead body ! A top of just 22 and partly cloudy - we are going back to Winter it seems as temperatures go backwards!

Today I had to pay my 2 weeks rent in advance as usual at the NAB over the counter at Chatswood. Anything to avoid cyber security incidents on person information and scams or frauds.

Home but it was a very long wait furing peak hour to get home. Applied for another job online.

Sae my neighbour today he did not look goid and was with one of his carers. I think the stress with all the stuff going on with the new landlords and the new property managet/real estate agent is taking it's toll not just on my neighbour but on me as well. It is so stressful.

I'm trying to humour him by telling him stories about the guy I met on the train and the plans to go to Canberra & Floriade with his response of me not coming back in a body bag and how we should be doing local activities first instead of going on a trip interstate . I gave my neighbour some jumbo blue berries as I know how much he likes them. When he said that he felt constipated ( unsure if he was serious) I responded with " that's because you're not eating your blueberries!"

Wednesday 10th September 24

A top of 25 degrees C and sunny.

Today I am staying in today dealing with discussing legal advice in regards to my current tenancy lease contract termination and new occupancy agreement to be signed.

After legal advice, the information given was what I had already researched and knew and therefore not much help as a lot of questions could not be answered until I actually dispute them in the future if that makes sense

I'm holding out until the very last minute before signing the occupancy agreement , not keen to anyway because I am still being cautious of my personal data being intercepted by cyber criminals. The less real data I post online the better. Most of my profile  details I post on social media are fake anyway especially on Facebook which I really hate using. Did I ever go to school in Canada and attend UBC ? Maybe maybe not.

I checked on my neighbour this morning and he had a rash all over his hands head neck from an allergic reaction from an anti inflammatory he had received in hospital. He had been to hospital and his carer had taken him there yesterday afternoon. He was in pain but hospital staff just gave him a shoot and discharged him.

I saw my next door neighbour walk in and both of us tried to help this neighbour by talking . I have no idea what my next door neighbour does all day except his daily trip to hospital for medication for his permanently damaged shoulder. He sure is noisy and he has this huge screen and a wicked gaming AI computer sorry server with all the glow parts he built himself.  He is such a geek and self Microsoft certified.

I always thought he spent all his time playing games but nope he spends his time building computers but really he is a hacker and I knew this from the beginning  - ever since our wifi was cut off he offered my neighbour and I use of his hi speed wifi - I declined more then once and my neighbour well he wasn't keen but they couldn't get it to work anyway. It's just a cyber security risk , I have my Telstra dongle anyway that I can plug into my laptop. That's good enough. I started joking about the type of hacker my neighbour was to try and make my other neighbour laugh a bit and feel a bit better - there are different colour coded hackers black red grey etc  and  then I added no hat hacker. Black hackers are the baddies aren't they? Nope correction green hatters are beginners keen to learn, blue hatters are professionals hired to rest systems before going live or launch red hatters are those that hack the black hatters so they are the baddies and my comment no hatters well they aren't really a real category of hackers but it could be like me someone who has no idea how to hack but could accidentally unintentionally  hack into a system by mistake because they just have no idea what they are doing. Actually I haven't hacked into the Tafe system yet and when I asked about why the front end log in screen is visible,  someone told me tgat you can't actually hack into it as it's just where you can customise the look of your log in screen - to me it looked like a weakness and an opportunity because it just looked like HTML code - this is what I mean if I delved a bit deeper into the code I'm sure I could accidentally hack it just by amending something - anything and not know exactly what I am doing or done.

So the 3 of us have not and  are not signing the new occupancy agreement due to various questionable clauses in it .Only one tenant has left and 3 have signed the new occupancy agreement.

I have so many questions

Why is the For Sale Sold sign still up outside, it's been sold for at least 60 days now. If it's just advertising fine but if it is for some other reason it is an eye sore ( I should take a photo of it  - not to be posted on line for security reasons obviously)

Why is the old owner name still registered under the boarding house registry over 2 months since settlement?

Is it actually legal to convert tenancy lease contracts to occupancy agreements and why was this done when the current owner is not registered under the boarding house registry?

Is this actually a boarding house as there is no common area, there is a communial laundry ,kitchen is shared but there is no refrigeratorkettle or toaster , only 1 4 burner stove and a microwave not even a bin , there is no on-site manager, all units are self contained ensuite with only 2 rooms downstairs that share a bathroom,  there is no on-site manager or  building manager, there are a total of 11 or 12 units,  there is a car park out the front, everyone has individual keys which can't be duplicated by key cut, there is a mail box block for each resident although there is one for building manager that does not exist on site etc Residents are more tenants then boraders according to definition of a boarding house.

The new occupancy agreement says the studios are furnished- no incorrect they are partly furnished with a ceiling fan, bench top, wardrobe TV  and bar fridge all attached to the wall or floor.

Why are the bins are still overflowing to the brim and I had to sort the rubbish dumped into the correct bins again. The bins are filthy despite the cleaner coming on Tuesday to clean them.

The night in the kitchen is still out so to do laundry you need to turn on the noisy light. Why hasn't this been fixed. Obviously the light bulbs failed to be all changed at the same time. I wo der if the light in the hall outside of the apartment I reside in has been fixed I'm sick of scounging in the dark to find my keys!

The kitchen is still dirty and the fumes from residents cooking still choking upstairs and into the apartment I am in

Thursday

Well today is the first day the race expo is on at the ICC before the Marathon this weekend. I am hoping to pick up my race bib without getting too lost. I now know approx where I have to get to on race day morning. I hope that buses are running as trains are not and all over the place this weekend due to direversion and trackwork - if there is really only 1 train on the North Shore line every 30 mins and no buses due to road closures   I'm stuffed and will be walking all the way to the starting line which is at North Sydney oval this year and not at Bradfiend Patk as for all previous years. Looks very chaotic on the information map when I looked. I didn' reorder a meal because it wasn't included as an option when I registered months ago. No options were available not even the start line location or new route. Fingers crossed I don't end up walking the equivalent to the Msrathon distance just to get to the start line!

OK after about 30 minutes of queing in really windy conditions outside on the roof of the ICC - the only day I decided not to wear my puffer jacket, Finally made it into the hall where I continued to queue to collect my race bib before moving on to the chip check self service counters and then all the way through the merchandising and marketing maze. The pedestrian traffic is one way and the exit is right next to the entry door.  So all up I was there for over an hour. Only one counter for 10 km and one for mini Marathon but about 8 counters for the Marathon bib pick up. I suggest people take a day off work as tge queues  were confusing long and there was no signage , just chaos and lots of security officers ushering and separating Marathon participants from the other participants picking up their race bibs. There is no half Marathon this year as it was cut out of the race series for the first time - it would have been out of control if it had been left in as this race series is al.ost to capacity with the Marathon and 10 km allocation exhausted last time I looked. Anyway I don't know if everyone gets a mesh bag so I didn't ask for one but I was carrying around my do not bend race bib and safety pins and could not put it in my back pack due to it bending so when there were stalls that were having a scan the QR code fill out the form and spin the wheel to win a prize I was so glad Chemist Warehouse was giving away either a years supply of some type of protein powder or bigs containing sun screen and a drink bottle. Spinning the wheel I was saying please don't land on the protein powder numbers - as what was I going to do with a years supply of protein powder? So it landed on a chemist warehouse prize - cool a yellow and black mesh deaw string bag with a tube of sunscreen ( which I later discovered was a men's one but does it make any difference?) and a plastic protein shake drink bottle - cool I needed a replacement. So now I can put my safety pins and race bib in it. I then moved on and Scholl also had a scan QR code fill in the form and spin the wheel but the prizes were rough skin scrapers and other products I still have ftom last year's race but luckily I won the permanently tube of sunscreen - great more sunscreen ! I need another tube for when I go  skiing ( not this year the ski season is almost over cut short from lack of snow over a month early). I keep moving and there are actually Marathon holidays the chilly race was not on the list but the Disney Marathon was - wait wasn't this the one that was cancelled recently?

Finally exit - no no selfies.  No note leaving this time just want to get out!

I walked through Darling Harbour instead of waiting for the next light rail back to Central. I stopped off after walking through Chinatown old and new on Dixon St, had a look at Dussex Centre, noted all the lions heads missing from both ends of Chinatown's gateways, walked up George St noting all the interesting shops popping up and had a walk and look around the cutest largest Miniso Japanese discount chain store before heading to Samsung making an appointment which was a 30 minute wait so went to KzOKO Black my favourite chocolate brand to sample and purchase some moon cakes and to the spice shop also in Strand Arcade to get some slouvaki spice mix making it back to Samsung just in time. A quick look at my phone settings and full software update . Done back to Town Hall via Woolworths a snack at the Little Fish Shoppe my favourite seafood snack stop before oops I caught the snow train at Town Hall to Chatswood instead of crosding the road and taking the Metro from Gadigal to Chatswood. oh well. Back at Chatswood blood oranges purchased  and fresh date tasting from the market stall. No custard apples or walnuts this week. Too much rain.

Home on the bus after another snack stop at Woolworth Metro Chatswood. ( refer YouTube videos uploaded(

I found out my neighbour signed the new occupancy agreement . I don't want to sign it but will have to because I have so much on I don't have time to move and I am not working as well which makes it difficult. I spoke to my neighbour downstairs who received an email from the cleaners to ask everyone if someone could take the bins out and be paid $15 a week for it, I would do it but I told him to ask my next door neighbour if he could take the bins out for this week and the next 3 weeks as he needs it more to save a bit on his weekly rent more then I do. Looks like number 1A or 1B can't do it or don't want to do it. This happened before  . I did it and never got paid for doing it  when it wasn't done by number 1A or 1B ( the 2 people living in these units are related) . They are so unreliable  , the bins used to stay overflowing for weeks and people living here kept dumping their general rubbish mainly bags and bags of unseparated Uber Eats into the container and cardboard bins instead of into the general rubbish bins . It was disgraceful. I got sick of separating all the rubbish into the correct bins and compressing the bins down. My neighbour next door would go and do this too. It was such an eye sore to see these overflowing bins every week.

Thursday 19th September 2024

Today I have a job interview at 2 for Platapus Shoes. Apparently there are 2000 applicants and a series of 4 or 5 or so group inteterviews throughout today. between 9.00 am and 5 pm. I chose 2 pm as the email received was very last minute and I did not receive a confirmation email until late yesterday afternoon when I followed up.That's not a good sign. It is also out at Waterloo and I have no idea where it is. There are other things like dress style and a selfie for id so they can remember each applicant as there are so many that I am unprepared for. No selfie I'm protecting my ID. See my YouTube Channel  and remember my name. If a company can't do this, that's also mot a good sign, it's not a modelling agency, audition for reality TV show or dating service - it's just an interview for a casual Christmas job.  I don't really want this job if I get it but going to this group interview for experience. The Employment service provider told me tgat group interviews are not a good thing and shows a company does not have the time or are too disorganised . It means they have too many applicants. The other thing I asked was what did they think of using employment agencies - I  hate them and they don't particularly like them too. There is no need for them and from experience no employment agency has ever got me a permanent position only temporary assignments. I always think they just get resumes to make their databases look good but do not really have any real jobs however a good employment agency will place good candidates into positions and they only get paid if the candidate completes their probation of 6 months successfully with the company. Government wage subsidies are also available to companies that mention it in they are hiring . I applied for Spotlight but was rejected. That is one employer that I actually want to work for.

Monday 23rd Sept 2024

This morning I slept in again. I just can't seem to get any proper sleep. It's tge stress of staying or leaving where I live. I love it here and my neighbours most of them are great but the new landlord and property management company/ real estate agents are making it difficult. There is something just not right about them.

I won't sign a new occupancy agreement because I don't believe it is legal for them to terminate an existing tenancy lease contract to an occupancy agreement. I also won't sign it because it says the apartment is furnished when it never was - when people moved in we all had an option to lease furniture for an additional weekly rental fee along with an option for a parking space also for an additional weekly fee on top of our rent. Wifi was included in the rental contract . I opted to BYO furniture and did not need a car space as I don't drive. I have been living her for 5 years and did not have a problem really except there are a lot of a noting non critical issues with tge studio apartment such as it is front facing so very  noisy  from heavy traffic as there is no double glazing, it gets extremely hot due to the aspect of the sun's intense rays and it is tge only u it without a fly screen so I can't open it as birds and inspects fly in a d there is a permanent screw in the window so I can only open it to a maximum of a few cm, the bathroom started falling apart when I moved in - I got a shock when the toilet lid cracked everytime it was closed down but it never sat flush, the half flush button never worked and still doesn't, there is a hole in the shower mixer causing it to leak randomly, the toilet roll holder never stood vertically to hold a roll of toilet paper and just fell off shortly after moving in so I left it off and kept it in the vanity cupboard, there is mould growing on the ceiling particularly in one corner of tge shower cubical and I noted on the inspection sheet that it looked as if it was painted over when I moved in after attempting to eliminate it, there is a leak in the sink pipe somewhere but still haven't worked out where, the sink is slow to drain but it is random how quickly it drains and there is a poorly cut out hole under the sink cabinet where the drainage pipe goes through, the back of tge bathroom door gets mouldy easily and the fixtures are rusting indicating they are chrome and not stainless steel., the door to the sink cabinet below cracked shortly after moving in and does not close shut or flush but worse of all the shower head would not stay in it's holder and fell on me when I first moved in  rashing to tge shower cubicle floor so I have had to keep it upright in the holder so the water pressure doesn't cause it to crash then the most dangerous thing in the bathroom was when I tried to close tge shower door and it just would not slide close instead falling on me ( I managed to catch it preventing it from shattering and injuring me) with the 2nd sliding glass door still not sliding- I walked for it to be repaired but after 2 attempts of tge repairman not showing up just gave up and kept the shower door since I moved in wrapped in a sheet sitting against the wall below the window. It has been there untouched since. I am not putting it back in as it will just fall again and I am too scared to clean the remaining movi g parts of the glass shower doors as they are unstable. There is a hige crack on the wall beside the window which was there way before O moved in and noted on the inspection report. Tge ceiling fan never worked properly and only works on the default setting ( battery changed, even tested by the previous property manager arrived d she got it to work but only off the cradle) The original mini white fridge never worked and was eventually replaced with a similar black one which is just as bad. Has a chemical smell and over freezes even adjusting temp. I had to buy a fridge thermometer soon after moving in to monitor the temperature i side it and still am using it in the replacement fridge. I also mtmotice that there is rust appearing on the corner of one of the walls behind my bed. Mould I'd rife in the cupboards despite me placing dehumidifier desiccant beads in it.

The only furnishings in the studio is the mini fridge, the full mirror wardrobe, the flat screen TV,  the ceiling fan , the small bench around the mini fridge and the cabinet in the bathroom all fixed to the walls and ceiling .Everything else the Ikea desk and my "bed", bins,  coat rack & 2 ottamans  are mine.

I have been investigating the property management real estate company and the new landlord and there are things that don't add up but I just can't put my finger on it  I have contacted the Northern suburbs tenancy advocacy for legal advice but they were not really much help so will have to forward my concerns to the tribunal. My investigations reveal the following

1. The landlord was registered with an ACN according to my ASIC search however was deregistered , they did not seem to have an ABN number. Later they  registered for an ABN number which seems to be valid however on closer inspection on the ATO website, they are not registered for GST - tax avoidance or tax evasion???

2. At the time of the emails received with a weekly rent increase of $35, a termination of tenancy lease contract and a new occupancy agreement to be signed all at the same time on the same day after hours, my investigation showed that this property which was registered as a boarding house previously although treated as private rental property was still registered under the old owners name and is still currently registered under der the old owners name a d not the new landlords name hence termination of contract and change from tenancy lease contract to an occupancy agreement is likely to be invalid. I see it as invalid. Also the fact that the new property manager/real estate agent is listed as  an affidable housing agent.

3. I am too afraid to contact the property management/real estate  agent as my neighbour argued why they cut off the wifi when it was included in the contract and he received an eviction notice but then received a termination of contract a whopping rent increase and a new occupancy contract to sign like the rest of us. I also had problems with my bond , where apparently the old owners did not transfer over to the new owners bulletin I did as requested and filled out the correct paperwork for bond transfer ftom paper to digital - don't try and pull that one over my eyes. Since then it has been resolved, it was never a problem according to an email I received after following it up with the bond board. So if we sign the new contract it means you agree to the occupancy rate increase but lose all your previous  rights as a tenant. If you don't sign it you need to vacate by November. Well I am undecided due to the above issues but I continue to pay my rent weeks in advance so they can't evict me. Anyway it is unclear when you have to sign the new occupancy agreement by as far as I understand . Anyway the issues don't end there. I was sent an email from the new owners and it stated that my rent ( still rent not occupancy fee as I have not signed the new agreement yet) was 7 days in arrears - not possible as for the past 5 years I have always continued to pay my rent in advance by bpay but now that it is no longer available and only direct debit is available I pay cash over the counter in advance at the NAB bank. So this was resolved- they wanted evidence of payment I made it clear in an email in  writing that I am a bookkeeper and keep ALL my receipts!. I also think that they have missed one week of my rent payments so I need to do a reconciliation again. Thee problem was resolved by the real estate sending me a receipt before the new iwner responded . They really miss me off wasting my time for their mistakes.

I don't really want to move as it is a nice place to live and I have nice neighbours. The building was fully rented and has been for quite a number of years since COVID.  Now one tenant upstairs moved out late one night soon after receivng the rent increase  termination of contract and new occupancy agreement - he knew there was something dodgey going on and had sought legal advice. So unit 1A & 1B have signed the new agreement and accepted the rent increase with all the new conditions as they don't care anymore and are moving out in 6 months time and going back to the Philippines, unit 4 is so nice and signed the new agreement and rent increase straight away but she only had a $5 weekly rent increase unlike the rest of us, unit 7 was very reluctant to sign it but he has accepting the rent increase crease , unit # 5 only has a few weeks left on his work contract and is leaving to go back to QLD at the end of September, unit 3 has not signed the new occupancy agreement but does not want to stay only staying due to his back injury ( he is the one that received the eviction notice ). His rent increase was almost double but he managed to get the occupancy agreement amended to unfurnished, another unit upstairs is staying but I hardly ever see him, unit #2 is also leaving because apparently don't agree with the rent increase and the Korean upstairs in  unit # ? is also moving out so the apartment block will be haf empty. They had an inspection over the weekend apparently according to my neighbour unit #., It's been advertised on realestate.com and domain for the past 2 weeks and noone showed up for the i spection. I wonder why!?

The history of the property is not great - 3 cars smashing into the property over 3 years demolishing the mail box block in front of the car park luckily no major injuries to the building or residents at the time with several close calls nearby outside, a knife attack in the kitchen ( luckily I wasn't residing here at the time),  a freak accident in unit # 1 the larger accessible unit downstairs ( yes I was here at the time during COVID) leading to death of the tenant with fires brigade, police and ambulance all arriving as well as their family and friends to identify the body and pick up the rest of their belongings and the attempted break in via climbing onto the roof and let's not forget the motel next door which is subsidised heavily by the government as housing for released prison inmates - yes I have seen the police paddy wagon in the dark dropping people off there discretely. My neighbour said he also saw some people shooting up in the dimpster area to the side of the apartment block - i have seen people trespassing onto the property and loitering on the fence outside the property probably dealing, I also saw a person just walk onto the property and steal the rubbish bin from the car park during COVID. Stuff happens. The police finger printed the entire building there was a white film of dust everywhere on the doors the windows etc when that tenant died. I was alone back then in the whole building.

I hope the security cameras particularly on the outside are still on as they were connected to the wifi which they cut off. If not their insurance will be a problem and if anything happens to any of the tenants ..... unit 7 used to have security cameras outside his windows but it only can detect the side area of tge building not the front.

This is my dilema..

No time to think about that right now need to run errands.

Metro to Macquarie Shopping Centre to return all my bottles and cans for recycling, laundry money , cmrechatged my Opal card and grocery shopping. A snack was a chicken schnitzel seeded roll - I didn't know they even have this, should have had the turkey seeded roll as I have had this before from Lunberger. I rate it a 5/10 the chicken schnitzel was terrible, I expected more from a German bakery. The chicken coating tasted mushy and the flavour was what was I actually tasting? The chicken itself had a manufactured meat texture. By the time I reached the front of the queue my first choice of a spinach and cheese danish were all sold out, an older Chinese lady had purchased ALL of them leaving none for anyone else in the queue - so rude, she had not intended in purchasing all of them initially, hesitated then just decided to take them all.

The bins were not put out again tonight and they are overflowing. Su h an eye sore.

The cleaner can't keep doing this as the owner will be charged extra by the council and as a result our rent will be increase by the landlord.

My neighbour #7 takes the bins back in returning from his hospital visit. I think all the bins have been emptied. The box out the front  has not been taken away. My neighbour # 5 has moved out I spotted him cleaning his apartment and boxing up his belongings to be sent back to QLD where he was returning to.

This morning was spent paying bills as usual. I pay everything in afvance and should have a really good credit record except for Citibank wherr I am unsure where my documents and statements are. I need to find out as this is was the siurce of my identity fraud /personal data breach. There has been a company claiming to be Pioneer Credit who when I looked them up online could not find any information on. They claim to be based in WA but when I reverse Australia their phone number it comes up with all sorts of previous scams people have reported. It comes up with suspected spam on my phone too so I have been blocking  and deleting the numbers.

Today I went to pay my rent in advance again. Since the new property management company/real estate does not offer bpay, I have been paying by cash over the counter at the NAB in Chatswood. I'm not the only tenant complaining about not being able to pay via bpay. Direct debit is not an option for me and I want to be able to control what I pay and when I pay it.

Went for a small grocery shop again at the larger Coles at Chatswood Chase and had a walk around the shops - not often I get to do this. I had a snack from a new Korean deli in the chase  I have always been curious about the food there but not had a chance to try it. So much choice but I was being careful as to what I ate trying to avoid Chinese manufactured products after the latest moon cakes exploding incident and death from eating preservative filled rock hard moon cakes that contained so much poison in them it attracted large masses of ants and killed them almost instantly. People wanted to know what chemicals were in these moon cakes so they can use them as rat and other insect poison. I really wanted to try the large container of sweet potato noodles mixed with vegetables and asked if the noodles were made in Korea or Vhina. Because the staff did not know and therefore could not tell me, I just purchased some vegetarian and sweet potato ( which looked and tasted as if they had meat in them,) Mandu (dumplings) . They were ok and came with some sort of dipping sauce which I could not identify. It was really salty and red . I rate my snack a 7/10 quite different to the Chinese steamed dumplings. Got some change for the laundry , had a look at stuff at Kmart almost purchasing a Hello Kitty stuffed toy but in the end didn't because it was dirty on the back of it something I did not see when I spotted it. So difficult to find the stuffed animal you want as everything is just all mixed together on shelves and in huge containers. Could not fina another Hello Kitty that was the same.  Home it was a very long wait for a bus during peak hour almost 30 minutes wait between each bus! It is suppose to be every 15 mi used and less during peak hours. It rained by the time I got off the bus around 6.30 pm and continued to rain for a few hours then stopped. I think that was it for the wet spell.

Late home I still had dinner to make and eat and my laundry to wash and dry. Up past 11 pm to dry my laundry.

Still up catching up with my blog. Have a sore throat again sneezng quite a lot, cough now and then runny nose and watery eyes. Allergies but I suspect I am getting very sick again.

Thursday 26th September 2024

It's nearing the end of September and it's 5 am in the morning. It's raining outside again after trying hard not to rain throughout the night and into the early morning. it's not heavy rain as forecasted. The temperature has not really dropped a lot either.A top of just 16 degrees C today and raining constantly.

Today I was not well enough to do much except cook myself a poached chicken and asparagus meal and a manuka honey hot tea.

I did my laundry and watched and uploaded YouTube videos.

Caught up with my neighbour who apologised for being a little rude to me yesterday 'I could never be made at him. I don't stuff for him and he does stuff for me. He said out neighbour #7 forgot to put the bins out on Monday night - he is being paid for it too! The cleaner called the council to have all the bins emptied on Wednesday.

It just stopped raining aeound 6.30 pm but unsure how long it will last.  Still wet on the roads outside. Nope I was wrong it's pouring outside!Absolutely pouring.

I wonder if the mystery of origin of the  water turning bright green in the the Northern suburbs of Sydney being released into the  ocean has been solved. Is it toxic? Some think that it could have been a prank from say school muck up day. Others think it could be a chemical that is non toxic used by plumbers to detect leaks. Whatever caused it, the rain will help diffuse it as it is released out to the ocean. It's probably not a blue green algae bloom. I wonder if there will cause a pool of dead sealife to appear. Does it glow in the dark? Has anyone taken a sample to have it tested?

Friday 27th September 2024

It rained continuously all night and all morning and it's still raining. I think the rain might be easing this morning and the sun is trying hard to come out - still grey though.

Another stay at home day today but I'm running out of groceries. Living off my last bagel and strawberries at the moment and tea.

A top of 19 degrees C in Sydney today. By 9 am it has stopped raining and the sun is out!!!!!

It was a very brief break , it started to rain again shortly afterwards. When is the rain going to stop!!!!

So today I got a phone call from the AEC so organised following up on my expression of interest to work at the next Federal election. I hope it is not during January 2025 when the Sumner holidays are on and everyone is away! I have to admit I do like working at the elections ( only state and federal not local - never heard back from the EC on the local elections - who cares about them anyway and who even cares about their local candidates unless they are a celebrity like Zali Steggall Northern Beaches independent & former bonze mdealist in alpine slalom at  the Nargano Winter Olympics )

Then I had to receive a scam call so I hung up on them. You can tell if they start talking in an Indisn accent and asking about your account which you probably don't hold with them  - hang up. If  it is important they will email you or leave a message.

My allergies are really bad , I'm talking about severe because it is raining. Actually I think it morphed into a bad cold because I had a mild sore throat for 2 days, Now it's a lot of runny nose and a bit of a cough. Due to my allergies I have to be really careful of what I eat where I go , what I touch or smell . All my senses are affected and the allergies get worse as zi get older.

There was finally a break in the rain in the evening so I ventured out to Chatswood to do a top up grocery shop. I walked through the Chatswood Mall markets which were bustling even with the wet weather and down to The Mix @ Chatswood Place to do a shop at the Aldi there. It's a slightly larger Aldi and quieter. It is just across from The Chase Shopping Centre which is getting a little difficult to get into due to the massive renovation and construction on the shopping complex . It also ventured upstairs to the restaurant precinct via a set of stairs mainly to access the car parks at The Mix which I have actually never explored before. Not only am I a postcode snob but a building snob as well.

So On my way back I was deciding should I have dinner from the markets or something else? I decided on a mini spicy chicken burrito from GyG. Mistake , I purchased a chimi mayo on the side as they always get the sauce wrong but shrinkflation plus - the burrito was so small it now fits in the palm of my hand! The chimi sauce was just as big as the burrito! Shock horror so this is what high inflation, high interest rates, the rising cost of living and unexplained high grocery prices has resulted in!

Anyway I ate it and it was ok as I walked through the Chatswood Mall markets regretting my purchase. I spotted a sign on a tea stall selling Duck Sh*t Tea, WTF??.

Home on the bus.

Slept earlier tonight but it was a bit wet and cold and I was still a little sick.
