Monday 29th May 2017 - VIVID Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens & Martin Place

2 VIVID precincts in one night. Not bad considering it's freezing out tonight and I even did a spot of grocery shopping on my way back home afterwards.

It is past 10.30 pm though and not a single bus at Chatswood Station in sight.

I took a mixture of photos and videos at the Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens and Martin Place as well as the city's surrounds.

Very disappointed that the sails of the Opera House this year was visuals only no sound and there was no projection onto Customs House. Instead 1 interactive light display and 1 non interactive light display were placed in front of Customs House. Was there a VIVID funding cut this year?

Martin Place had less light displays this year - the giant red inflatable waratah was even a repeat from the Royal Botanic Gardens I had just come from. The saving grace of Martin Place was the projection with sound on that building that looks like a spaceship or mushroom - the MLC Building? You'll know it when you see it.
