Happy International Coffee Day!

It's the first day of October and I'm still sick with the bad lingering cough. The cough is the last thing to disappear whenever I get a cold or the flu. It can last for 2 or even 3 weeks each time. This is due to my allergies and asthma.

A mostly sunny day today with a top of 22 degrees degrees C.

Still not doing much but I may need to force myself to venture out today as I am running out of toiletries tissues ( my nose is running all the time) , juice fruit veg cleaning products etc.

Just applied online for another part time job .

Looks like another do nothing day today Just can't get rid of this cough.

The package I sent to JJ Time was received by them so I'm happy it didn't get lost as the post office staff members did not know ow what WV stood for .

Friday 4th October 2024

Wel it's school holidays and it's also Labor Day Long Weekend so I'm escaping Sydney again but only over night back Sat night late. I'm still getting over my cold and it's just a lingering cough left but my nose is still running and my eyes itchy  and watery but that's just seasonal allergies. Wearing a mask helps.

Today I caught the hills bus to Crows Best Metro this morning ( the yellow hills bus is better for catching the Metro because stops almost in front of the metro station at Crows Nest instead of all the other buses which stop across the road from the Metro which is annoying). I had the option to get off at St Leonards to catch the slow train to Central but why if you can catch the Metro train!

At Central it was a quick breakfast of  a chicken souvaki on an unbuttered unsauced brown bread with lettuce - borng but it does not need any more oil or flavour. It was then a toilet stop and a walk down to Pitt St to meet the Murray's 11 am bus to Canberra.

I arrived in Canberra about 5 minutes or so late but that was because traffic in Sydney via the airport was pretty busy being a Fri and school holidays as well as a public holiday long weekend.

First a toilet stop then it was find my way to The Village where I was staying for the night before heading to Floriade Night Fest.  I must have asked 10 locals how to get there and were wrong , it took me from 2.30 pm - 4 pm to find my way there and it was just a 15 min Max walk from Jolimont Coach Terminal where I arrived! Checking in was a hassle as you had to download the GOKI app. Last time I stayed there it was manual check in now there are signs and codes everywhere.

So I finally found my room and punched in the code - later to find out from my room mate that you can tap to get into the room and to get in the front door you need to tap there is no manual punch code

Spoke to and got to know my room mate . It was Friday night and there were only

Monday

I spent the day sorting my laundry,  paying bills and mostly catching up uploading my videos onto my YouTube channel and watching YouTube channels. There seems to be quite a few YouTubers who seem to be copying my style of minimal or no editing of videos uploaded and raw commentaries rather then edited voice over also varying their content creation to be more diverse rather then sticking to one subject.

Today something fell in the fridge and split the side drink holder container. The fridge is not mine it was a new replacement but when I got it to replace the original fridge (which was even worse when I moved in and never worked properly and was always freezing up on one side and not at on all on the other therefore I asked for a replacement black one) it started feeling up really badly again and I had to keep defrosting it and kept the temperature control down at 1 . There was always a weird chemical smell in it and when I tested the seal with a sheet of paper it failed from the beginning. The other thing very wrong with it was that one of the glass shelves that comes with the fridge is useless as it does not even fit properly in any of the shelves in the slots and keeps falling out of them hence falling down. The shelf is too narrow for the width of the slots and there is only one way it can slide in as there is a "bias" along one side of it preventing it from sliding glass into the slots the wrong way.

My morning was taken up by attending the Telstra AGM. This AGM alternates between Sydney and Melbourne each year according to my research. I have not attended many Telstra AGMs in the past but occassional when I do it's usually the ones in Melbourne. This yesterday it was Sydney's turn and helt at the Hyatt Regency on Sussex Street. And I would have to agree with another Sydney resident shareholder thank goodness I decided not to attend including person this morning!!!!Registration started at 8.30 am and it was still raining constantly and the meeting went on from 9.30 am normal starting time to 12.50 pm!!!! It dragged on and on about how bad Telstra's customer service is with question after question from shareholders in regards to this ongoing issue with Telstra. No wonder shareholders need to be provided with a free lunch afterwards!!!!!!!!! I actually stayed online for the webinar to the end but fell asleep somewhere in the middle of it.  The other thing was right at the very end ( I did question it earlier but was not that concerned) was someone asked why can't shareholders vote online via ask a question? yes why can't I vote online? Doesn't this addect the outcome of all items on the agenda at the AGM if not some of them? Does my vote as an original shareholder count?
