Monday 29th October 2018 - Ramon Beginner Jazz Class

First time I am actually going to a dance class at night during the week. Usually I go to day classes on a Tuesday or a Saturday.

Classes are not as easy to get to during the week but I have Mondays off and I am working at Balmain tomorrow so don't have the stress of travelling as far to get to work on time.

Ramon's beginner Jazz class on Mondays is from 6.30 pm - 8 pm.
Today's routine was to an old Britney song.

I am surprised I managed to catch the M30 from Broadway outside UTS and connect onto  M40 on Park Street Town Hall as the M40 usually stops its service at 8 pm. Must be the last bus to Chatswood for tonight being a week night at almost 8.30 pm.

Home shower sleep and work tomorrow. I have prepacked my lunch so hopefully won't need to do anything tomorrow morning. I usually like to buy my lunch whenever I work at Balmain as I like the pies and bread out there. Maybe my prepacked lunch can be my breakfast!

Sorry no photos or videos allowed at SDC.

Saturday 27th October 2018 - Sculpture By The Sea

It is that time of the year again and I thought I could make it to my dance class between 10.00 am and 11.30 am then travel to Bondi to see Sculpture By The Sea but the bus took too long and I could not make it on time to my dance class therefore got off at Martin Place and connected with the next 333 bus direct to Bondi Beach. Never catch the 343 bus it takes too long should have waited for the M40 into the city to connect with a train or bus - thought it would get me to my destination quicker as it arrived first  - wrong!

The 333 bus to Bondi Beach was packed and it was not even 10 am. Every man and his dog was going to see Sculpture By The Sea today as the sun was out for the first time on a weekend. I can go to a dance class any time as it is indoors but to do the Bondi to Tamarama walk to see the sculptures has to be a good day being a mostly outdoor event.

Arrive at Bondi Beach South the beginning of the walk. First stop buy a program for $12 - thank goodness for eftpos- I never have any cash on me on a Saturday morning!

Keep walking heaps of people in front and behind you in both directions and don't usre the free shuttle bus between Bondi and Tamarama Beach.

Next stop Marks Park where about a third of the sculptures are located and a quick drink snack & toliet stop before viewing the Sculptures Inside tent.

Back down onto the coastal board walk to Tamarama Beach. I'm feeling a bit hungry and I spot a sausage sizzle ( and I love a good sausage sizzle now and then!) at the Life Saving Club at Tamarama but problem I still have no cash on me - no problem there was eftpos at the sausage sizzle! One $5 sausage on a roll with onions mustard ketchup and bbq sauce coming up! There was some type of competition give away next to the sausage sizzle too which I did not look into as I was too busy eating my sausage on a roll with the mustard ketchup and bbq sauce getting into my hair, there was a queue  and so I stood on the grassy side hill along with others eating.

Finished I continue along to the beach packed with walkers surfers swimmers etc. The water was so clear and inviting but no I was not here for a swim today  just the sculptures - I didn't even take off my shoes to venture onto the sand as I would have to queue to wash my feet and dry them off afterwards.

Took heaps of photos but had trouble locating at least 3 large sculptures which I really wanted to see.

Walked all the way back to Bondi Beach - it was really slow as the crowds had grown and it was now around 2 pm. Slowest down narrow paths and steep sets of stairs.

On tbe 380 bus to Bondi Junction connecting with the M40 bus. Home. ( sorry I forgot I did stop off and went shopping at Bondi Junction at Eastgate Shopping Centre in between)
