Saturday 15th February 2020 - Tomato Festival @ The Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney

In summary the annual Tomato Festival this year was disappointing. When I arrived around 1.30 pm although a bit late as I usually arrive earlier before lunch, there was no free tomato sampling tent and the final cooking demonstration for Saturday from 1.45 pm was cancelled and replaced by a gardening talk. There was a change of venues as well. The longest lunch was held inside The Calyx rather then along the lawn outdoors which was probably a sensible last minute amendment considering the amount of rain we had been having recently and the kitchen garden talk was moved to a hall in the education centre. The main attraction was the Mandela and the handful of regular food and drink stalls. There seemed to be a lot more outdoor tables chairs under umbrellas set up around the lawn area this year.

The Tomato Festival is a 2 day event on at The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney on Saturday 15th - Sun 16th February 2020 from 10 am usually to around 4 pm . I almost missed it this year only to check my calender on the Thursday to find that it was on over this weekend. I could not attend on Sunday this year as I am working.

I rate it this year a : 6/10
