Monday 26th December 2016 - Boxing Day Sales in Sydney - If you can't beat them join them!

Millions and millions of shoppers scrambled into the city for the annual boxing day sale.

Security guards, police and even the fire brigade - due to smoke coming from the somewhere along Market Street close to or within the Westfield shopping precinct and Tower were present. I witnessed an incident where an angry young man was accidently knocked by another passer by. It was clear that this young man was disturbed as he wanted to pick a fight with this passer by only to have the passer by calm him down, apologising and distracting him with words such as " come see where the fire is coming from" and addressing him as "my friend". The passer by asked the young man where he was from only to receive a non response. The young man looked like he was from the Middle East - possibly Syria.  Luckily no one was hurt but it could have turned ugly very quickly right in front of me slong with the millions of people surrounding him.

I didn't really need anything but went anyway. I ended up buying pacjets of discounted Christmas cards from Oxfam, and decorations from Kikki K stores.

(Photos attached of the frenzy - great practice for NYE fireworks on Sydney Harbour!!)
