Thursday 19th October 2017 - When One Thing Goes Wrong Everything Goes Wrong!

Well my Note 8 overheating problem is still unresolved. I have now been advised to do a full backup, delete yet another app potentially causing a problem and make an appointment at the Samsung city store or go out to Homebush where a technican will do a more detailed analysis of what may be causing the problem on my Note 8. Who has time to do that???? No guarantee the problem will be resolved and I will probably have to leave my phone with them. Not practical - why won't Samsung just replace my phone from day 1 when I advised them that I was having problems with my new phone?

In addition to the above problem I also have the mystery of why I can't pay my Air Canada airline ticket online or over the phone with my Visa Debit card. I have been trying for 5 weeks and trying either online or phoning Air Canada international almost every 2 days. The bank has advised me that there is no block, no transaction amount limit and have even taken the monitoring off my cards temporarily. With sufficient funds in my account there is just no valid reason for why I can't pay for this airfare. I have booked everything else  accommodation, travel insurance etc and even paid for return coach transfers and a test amount for my maintenance fees with the same card without any problems although it took longer then usual to receive confirmation receipts from these companies. I have now resorted to a travel agent for assistance with my airline booking. This is the first time I have had trouble booking my airline ticket online. The bank advises me that it's Air Canada's merchant facilities and not theirs. Air Canada has been unhelpful and have not done any trouble shooting on their end except hold my seat on the flight for a few days (expiring tomorrow morning) to allow me time to try snd sort out. I suspect it is a security problem - for that amount of money they should have asked for a csv number as it does online when making a booking and it also does a verification check. The other thingcI found strange was my address kept by Aeroplan or Air Canada defaults on the booking and is incorrect therefore I gave to amend it rendering it not to match up with address associated with the card I am making the payment with.

Stopped off at Aldi to purchase a bottle of sparking mineral water on my way home. I tried to untwist the top off the bottle but it was screwed on so tight I had to ask the cashier to open it for me which she did - but in the process the huge amount of gas from the bottle was released and I was strayed with a fountain of water! It was everywhere!I certainly didn't shake it up before giving it to her, I just purchased it and after attempting to unscrew it without success, I had to ask for assistance as my hand was really sore,  However not until after a champagne bottle exploded in their liquor section almost injuring an Aldi employee not to mention startling a queue of Aldi customers waiting to pay for their purchases right next to the liquor section. Thankfully the Aldi employee was wearing gloves but he was unprotected from the flying glass which just missed his eyes. Someone yelled out "What are we celebrating?" as a joke before realising the seriousness of the incident.

On my way home on Penshurst the bus makes a detour down McMahon - there is an incident (which appears to be quite large) closing of the entire street. A crash? Powerlines down? It is getting dark and all I can see are energency vehicles and flashing blue and red lights and a cordoned off section of the entire street. Buses cannot see what's ahead until the street before the block off where it is the last resort detour. So that's why buses were delayed at Chatswood where a group of school boys were getting impatient waiting for their bus to arrive.

I often do a Google search on my name and my blog's name to check if anyone has linked my blog to any inappropriate websites or links which involves scams or inappropriate material.
Today was no exception and I did another Google search and found my blog linked to what looks like an adult porn site. If anyone who reads my blog comes across sites such as this DO NOT OPEN THESE LINKS AS THEY ARE IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH ME OR MY BLOGS. THESE INAPPROPRIATE LINKS TO MY BLOG WILL BE REPORTED TO BE REMOVED.

Who are these people "Liscensed to Lick"? Besides being a porn site they can't even spell!

The purposes of my blog are to inform and rate events I attend or places I visit only along with my Youtube videos. They are mostly family friendly and I do not appreciate anyone out there attempting to discredit me or my work online.

My first click and collect from a Target store. Exciting as I hate shopping online. If you are not in a hurry , know what you need or want click and collect is so convenient.  It took less then a week to get my goods and it was also available in the store therefore if faulty I can exchange it. I went to the customer service counter at the back of the store and an assistant actually did all the click and collect setting up for me so any non tech savvy person can use it as a service. Payment has tap and go facilities too. Confirmation emails are sent to you as to the status of your purchase as well. Arrive bar code on email is punched in by customer service person and goods are handed over to you. I opened my box just in case it was daulty or damaged however I only opened the outer box to check if the goods ordered matched up with goids received. Yep it did but I didnt check inside the actual box the product was sealed in - what's the bet it's broken?.......TBC.... Will have to open and inspect!

When one thing goes wrong everything goes wrong - true isn't it!

Happy Halloween!!!
