Sunday 29th July 2018 - The Tramsheds @ Jubilee Park

If you haven't been here it is a must visit. There is enough food and drink here to feed the whole of inner Sydney!

It is my first visit here today and I have been wanting to visit the Tramsheds for a while now. It is warm and sunny today reaching Winter temperatures of early to mid 20s (degrees C) however there was a bit of wind therefore no swim at Balmoral today.

The Farmers Markets were on at The Tramsheds between 8 am and 2 pm - a regular Sunday event. The markets are small and located inside The Tramsheds. The markets are not really necessary as there is a very large Supamarket which stocks almost everything surrounded by cafes bars and restaurants ( I still haven't located Butcher & The Farmer yet). Found it -  I had walked straight past it. No time to eat there today though.

As soon as I stepped of the light rail @ Jubilee Park and spotted The Tramsheds building I was already wowed by it and even more wowed by its interior as I entered through the entrance down the travelators.

So where does one start in this place. First stop was the Farmers Market then the Supamarket - it is an all grocery shopping day today!

Organic fruits and vegetables was my first stop from Pickle Hill Farms . No Chinese dates or sugar plums today just a few kgs of organic Cara Cara type oranges which I tasted - so juicy and sweet @ $3 / kg (I hope I purchased enough) followed by 2 types of mushrooms, broccoli, some limes which they were trying to flog off the last 6 of  to me long with the very last leek (which I purchsed as it was looking a bit lonely on its own , - someone had to buy it! I will think of something to make with it) , 2 avacados (for my chocolate mousse) which they ere also trying to flog off to me ( I made my stance this time and stuck with only 2 that I needed), no purple carrots ( I don't want purple soup  - purple carrots stain everything!) or cauliflower or onions today.

Next was some salmon - I kept being offered different samples of cured salmon on crackers and ended up purchasing a packet of the first sample I tried only to chnge my mind and purchase the hot smoked 85 degree salmon. All yum. Then there was the octapus omg - I think I should go back and get some! Too late all packed up!

So much artisan bread, cakes, biscuits , macaroons, pastries, chocolates etc. and pizza!!!

I do need bread but have to think about it. too late all packed up!

More salmon sampling - even more  yum!

Time to hit the Supamarket now. More sampling of Soba noodles in Miso soup and the odd combination of tahini maple and white miso with crudities - must try this at home. Organic udon noodles, organic corriander shallots non lactose cheese chicken wings just to name a few products I picked up there. Grocery shopping part 1 almost done.

Now a sit down drink of water and repack my groceries into my 2 byo shopping bags as well as blogging. Photos to be uploaded later. Photos now uploaded below.

2 pm and still heaps of people around.

Need a toilet stop but unsure where they are. Found but only 1 set behind the barber shop. Don't put any of your bags on the floor of the toliets they are constantly wet. I hung mine on the hooks at the back of the toliet door however had to leave them on the sink counter - bottom of bags all wet! yuk! Had to wash my hands.

Rating 9/10 Another favourite must visit. Must return on another Sunday! This time a proper sit down lunch (hopefully seated inside the replica tram carriage housed stationary inside the Tramsheds with destination Rozelle on its front)  some octapus and salmon and maybe a chocolate cake pastry pizza or bread too for myself too!

Back on the light rail all the way back to Central Station then train to Chatswood then bus home. Long day no time to go for a swim in early afternoon eventhough it is still really hot today @ 2.30 pm. Cooling slightly towards 3 pm

What is with the trains today???? They are constantly parked at Town Hall and Central Stations. Bloody ridiculous!!! More trackwork - there is always trackwork! Almost every weekend there is trackwork!!!

Back home after a quick visit to Toms Project again to purchase that top on the $10 rack I had my eye on (to go with my pink pants for dance class). A quick unload of my groceries before taking the bus back to Chatswood to continue my grocery shopping at Aldi and Coles in the Westfield Shopping Centre. No time to visit Kmart and the larger Coles supermarket at Chatswood Chase.

It is late and I unload my groceries and watch Masterchef on tv before continuing my blogging and falling asleep. I will try and sleep in tomorrow on my day off.
