Saturday 4th August 2018 - Too Much To Plan For The Months of September & November

Missions accomplished today.
1. pay the bills done
2. do the laundry done
3. bake a seafood pie done
3. go to Louie George's Beginner Jazz class between 10 am and 11.30 am ( my last one at the wharf precinct before the SDC moves to its new temporary home where it will stay for the next 2 years until the much needed wharf precinct refurbishments are complete - the main Sydney Dance Company sign outside the building on the window has now been taken down - only 1 more week to go before the move is complete)
4. grab a take away lunch from Le Renaissance - sorry no photos of the  chicken (poulet) pie and an almond croissant this time round which I scoffed down - have to admit the chicken pie is not as good as the quiches. Almond croissant always yum but far too big to finish in one go - should have stuck to a cruffin. A queue of people again and some products sold out.
5. Another Winter swim and hot shower at beautiful Balmoral Beach. Still sunny and warm all the way past 3 pm.
6. Shopping for essentials and another weekly Opal card top up via Chatswood by bus from Balmoral Beach.

As for what's planned for the months ahead- I am still working on it all , so stay tuned!

Already booked are :
1. Blackmores Bridge Run 10 km in mid September Post Script : Done in aporoximately 1 hour and 40 minutes  only walking all the way and taking quite a few photos along the way this time!

2. Cake Bake & Sweet Show in Sydney near the end of November & Cake Bake & Sweet Show in Melbourne at the beginning of December. Postscript : both done along with Myer AGM, Big Design Market Melbourne and St Kilda Beach.

3. Sweet Expo in Sydney in mid August (I can't believe that AFTER I missed the first earlybird offer & 2017 attendee 2 for 1 offer and therefore ended up paying full price to go to this show, I kept getting sent emails from the organisers for a 2 for 1 offer now for $14.50 - the original 2 for 1 offer was more then this $15 and my full price ticket cost a f***ing $21! Why would I want to buy another cheaper ticket afte I have already purchased a full priced one! Just as well it is a work related trade show (all things baking) I am attending ! The show better be a good one - it is all the way out at EQ this time round - I can just see and read the bad reviews to come!!! & Sydney Vegan Markets @ EQ.  Postscript : both done.

4. Fine Food Australia (trade only) in Melbourne in mid September ( same week as the above bridge run with work in between how am I going to fit it all in!? I warned readers September will be a busy month!) Postscript : Done Monday 10th September along with a last minute Mystic Mountain Day Trip through Wildlife Tours on Sunday 9th September which included a stop at Beechworth Bakery Healsville, snowshoeing @ Lake Mt for 3 hours , Steavenson Falls in Marysville and Yarra Valley Chocolaterie.

5. Spring Harvest Festival at Elizabeth Farm towards the end of September Postscript : Done although I didnt stay as long at this year's event along with a last minute surprise event on Tuesday morning before work of a being one of the first group of people to ride a Driverless Shuttle Bus @ Olympic Park by invitation only from competition entered back in March April @ The Royal Easter Show

6. MoMa and other exhibitions on at the NGV Melbourne in September Post Script done along with the Queen Victoria Markets

7. Strawberry & Cherry Festival Bacchus Marsh in mid November Postscript : done along with South Melbourne Markets and the Julian Opie  & Factory Under The Sun exhibitions @ NGV as well as A Modern Life Homewares 1930s - 1980s exhibition.

8. Tulip Festival at Corbett Gardens and Southern Highlands Food and Wine Festival Bowral end of September. Post Script both done!

9. Floriade Canberra in early October Post Script : done along with The Old Bus Depot Markets

10.  Smooth FM Chocolate Festival Sydney @ Olympic Park beginning of September ( first year with a venue change and entry fee charged - so it better be good!). Post Script : done Sunday

11. Sculpture By The Sea Bondi mid October to my birthday Postscript done last Sturday of October 2018 along with Melbourne Zoo on the following Sunday 4th November 2018

12. Still working on others....... SDC's Big Move from The Wharf Precinct studios . Opening Weekend @ Sydney Dance Company's new custom made dance studios in Ultimo on 25th & 26th August. Postscript : done Saturday

13. Chatswood Spring Fair 1st September. Post Script : the buses took so long to get to and from Chatswood station by the time I arrived back it was 4 pm and everything was being packed up. 2 hours to get from where I was including delays,  waiting time and detours of bus routes is unacceptable. Every bus I caught was late and detoured therefore I didn't  get to go to this event at all on Saturday.

As mentioned I am still working on all events I would like to attend in the coming months this year. The above are just a few.

14. Postscript : Working as a DVIO at the Wentworth By Elections 20th October 2018 @ Church In The Marketplace ( Polling Place : Bondi Junction North) An unexpected so called "event attended or place of interest visited" Unplanned but this took up quite a bit of my time - 2 entire Saturdays were sacrified -  one for paperwork hardcopy to be printed and submitted, completion of online training assessment and face to training session and employment on the actual polling day. Quite a lengthy process for just 1 day's work from  submitting expression of interest, updating profile online every 3 years neccessary, to confirmation of and acceptance of offer of employment to compulsory competition of online and face to face training sessions and submission of hard copy documents to  full day of employment - it was actually quite boring  and I will now black list working at any By Elections along with working at any local elections in future.

15. Night Noodle Markets @ Hyde Park North during October Good Food Month in Sydney done!

Next week is the annual City2Surf which I retired from about 3 years ago after completing 25 of them conservatively along with countless other fun runs. I usually head to the mountains over that weekend to get away from it however this year I will be working all weekend in Balmain so if you do not see any new posts it is because I don't have anything to blog about and am busy working however stay tuned for the following weeks. I think people will be interested in what I have to blog about - hopefully not negative too.

Events that I will not be going to this year or may not make it to due to conflicting schedule of events :

1 Oz Comic Con Sydney @ ICC Darling Hrbour - Did not go this year as it conflicted with my trip to Bowral

2. Sydney Open weekend annually run by Sydney Living Museums with Focus Tours on 3rd November all sold out and general building open inspections on 4th November around Sydney. Same buildings open each year for inspection although some new ones added this year to the list. No chance of getting into any focus tours on Saturday 3rd and forget the ballot to the tour of the Tank Stream - unsuccessful twice won't even try again this year for my birthday over my birthday weekend! Not enough new buildings to inspect to entice me to purchase a ticket again to attend this event this year!

3. Christmas Markets Hyde Park Barracks Thursday 13th December 2018 4 pm - 9 pm - too tired to attend.
