Saturday 25th June 2016 - Lyrical Jazz Beginner Dance Class

I haven't checked the forcast for this weekend but it looks like a very nice weekend.

Today the sun is out again and still quite warm and I hope it will be the same tomorrow.

Today is my usual Lyrical Jazz beginner dance class . Still thinking about going for a swim afterwards. Depends on if the sunshine holds up until 430 pm.

Besides the huge cruiseship docked at Circular Quay Overseas Passenger Terminal, there is a giant igloo under construction outside of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA). Exhibition opens last day of June also our end of 2015 2016 financial year.

Tomorrow I will be attending a face to face training session in the city in preparation for working at the Federal Election on polling day on 2nd July 2016.

The pressure was on a few weeks ago to complete all the online training modules and passing the assessments for this polling day position in between my 4 week coding course, work and attending all my prebooked events and activities in Sydney and interstate. An extremely busy schedule.

Once the Federal election is over and my coding course is complete I plan to take another break interstate. (will keep everyone posted)

Saturday 18th June 2016 - VIVID SYDNEY 2016 Closing Night Taronga Zoo (My Final VIVID Precinct)

I went to my usual Saturday Lyrical Jazz class from 1 pm - 2.30 pm. No hot shower today as system was out of order therefore I had to go home to have one and a quick change of clothes before going out to see VIVID for the final time.

One City - Three Weeks - Fifteen Precincts & Some Amazing Extra Events.

On from 27th May - 18th June , it's finally a wrap for VIVID SYDNEY 2016 "Lights Music Ideas".

This year I managed to attend all 15 precincts and also fit in a few extra VIVID events.

My final VIVID precinct tonight was Taronga Zoo and I could not fault it. Rating a perfect 10/10 - great job to mark the Centenary of the zoo.

Prebooked general admission VIVID tickets online meant no lining up when I arrived at Taronga Zoo. There was however a stuff up with the allocation and purchase of Sky Safari ride tickets online which was rectified for me when I arrived with a white wrist band to allowed me to experience the round trip gondola ride included in the VIVID general admission price.

The weather was perfect for the closing day of VIVID. The rain had stopped earlier and it was not cold during the evening. The following day which was perfect timing - it poured with rain all day.

The night was very enjoyable with a short ferry ride from Taronga Zoo Wharf back to Circular Quay. When I arrived , Circular Quay was crammed with thousands of people out and about all night taking in the final hours of VIVID.

Too many photos were taken therefore I have included just a few of my favourite highlights. (Also refer to my 2 youtube video )

Tuesday 14th June 2016 - Beautiful Balmoral Beach yet again

I'm still wondering how many more beautiful sunny warm days we still have left until Winter really sinks in and it will be too cold for me to go for a swim.

Another perfect day to go for a swim at Balmoral Beach but only wading waist deep as the tides were high, the waves rough and the water murky.

No serious swimming today. Water still nice and warm so didnt really want to get out. Soaked in the sunshine and played in the rockpools looking at marine life. Thinking about life and reflecting the month just gone by. Time for relaxation after a hectic month and planning the months ahead.

Very tired - shower and slept early ready for work next day.

Monday 13th June 2016 - VIVID SYDNEY 2016 Circular Quay (2nd half) , The Rocks, Campbells Cove and Walsh Bay

I spent the afternoon finishing off the final module of the online training course and assessment for working on polling day as a DVIO at this years Federal Elections. I failed the assessment the first time round because I hit the submit botton accidently before checking the answer I selected. You can't go back and change your answers once you hit the submit botton. 2nd time round I passed fortunately.

After completing the training course, I went home, had a snack then went off to see another 3 or 4 VIVID precincts  as my reward for the day - leaving 1 left to go to - Taronga Park Zoo. I am hoping I will be able to fit this in before VIVID closes.  I was surprised to see on my way home from VIVID tonight that some of the VIVID displays at the Chatswood precincts were already being dismantled and taken away in hire trucks. VIVID does not offically finish until the end of this week I believe.
So many photos (see attached) and also videos to upload onto youtube with or without editing.

Favourite interactive exhibits at VIVID Circular Quay, The Rocks, Campbells Cove and Walsh Bay precincts were :

1. Infinity Box - interactive walk through
2. Cadmans Cottage - intereactive bodies projections with music
3.  60s Light Show - lights and music
4. Opera House sails - projection with music
5. MCA - projection with music
6. I love You Heart - interactive "I love you!" sound activation on one side - photo opportunuty on the other.

Favourite photo spot Canon HQ and the giant frame with the Opera House
in the background near the overseas passenger terminal.
Rating : 8/10
