Another 3 or 4 VIVID precincts down!
First Stop - Central Park. (refer youtube video and photos attached.
Silent disco (yet again) was present as well as a few light sculptures hidden amongst the gardens with the centre stage being a projection on the old brewery yard building. Not as spectacular as all the other VIVID projections located at other precincts and sound quality was not as good but this precinct is worth a visit particularly for people who want to avoid the crowds of other VIVID precincts or have young children as it is located near most if not all amenities such as toilets, food and drink, transport etc. If the weather turns there is the Central Park Shopping Centre near by with plenty of indoor activities.
Rating : 7/10 - smaller precinct but family friendly.
Second Stop - The Galleries and City Surrounds. There was a selection of screens hung above The Galleries shopping precinct all of various sizes projecting images and sounds of wierd and wonderful things such as owls , running water , laboratory equipment, living organisms and space. Some very colourful and interesting to watch , others boring and bizzare. ( photos attached and very short youtube video uploaded) Rating : 7/10
Third Stop - Martin Place. Rating : 8/10 - my favourite smaller VIVID precinct. (refer youtube video)
Stop by this precinct worth going to with interactive life sized Ping Pong arcade game and my favourite "Geometrics". Food and drinks both available as pop up bar and food stalls. (Photos attached)
