Saturday 11th June 2016 - Lyrical Jazz Beginners class

Every dancer has their off days and today was mine.  I missed last Saturday's class because I was in Melbourne so was suppose to be looking forward to this Saturday's class.  As I check in at the reception desk the sign advised that the regular Lyrical Jazz Beginners class teacher was a substitute and I thought I could take it easy in the class today but no the regular teacher was teaching today which meant a difficult choreography with plenty of spins jumps and floor work.
I don't know why I was having such an off day, maybe I was tired from all the travelling study events and work I was doing,  maybe it was the thumping music from the dance studio next door distracting me or just that I didn't like the teacher's song choice this week. It could also be that I missed out on learning the choreography last week because I was away in Melbourne therefore was a little behind everyone else in the class. The pressure for me to catch up on completing week 1 of my coding course and also finding time to complete my DVIO training online and pass the assessment in one sitting may have also contributed.
It was one of a few beautiful days and quite warm yet no time for me to go for my regular swim at Balmoral Beach after dance class - any spare time is spent studying.
