Tuesday 9th January 2018 - Cheap Tuesday Activities In Vancouver

Still no sign of my missing parcel - what day is it now? Ive lost count and it is definitely a lost cause.

I received an email response advising Australia Post can no longer help me and mentioned the "60 day response" again. I'll definitely be back in Australia way before then. What can I do?

Today I went to my usual Tuesday morning Aquafit class. It is such a sunny day today but I have urgent grocery shopping to do and planned to do my pile of laundry and see a cheap Tuesday movie - a new one that has been just released today.

The indoor heated pool at the YMCA. State of the art adjustable depth pool with a dividing wall and cleaned with a combination of chlorine and uv light. However today the pool was a little deep towards the centre of the pool (water was above my head at some points) and there is a little bit of a gap where the dividing wall is at its lowered point. Also available is a hot tub and sauna next to the pool - great for relaxing after aquafit classes.

Maybe a quick trip to West Vancouver to wholefoods before everything else. No maybe some lunch - I hate to say it but it will be KFC today - cheap Tuesday - this will hopefully settle my stomach which has had some far too heathy food lately.

TBC...

Next was onto to see a Cheap Tuesday movie. I chose "I,Tonya" however it was only playing at International Village therefore I had to take the skytrain to Stadium - Chinatown to see it.

Stadiun Chinatown - the only bilingual signage at a skytrain station. Not even Richmond  Brighouse where a majority of the Asian population resides has bilingual skytrain signage.

The earliest session was at 3.55 pm therefore I had an hour or so to kill so just hung around the "food court" in International Village but didn't eat anything as I had just had lunch.

Rating & Review : 8/10 Another Australian actress steals the show. Magot Robbie is excellent as Tonya Harding disgraced figure skater throughout the movie. It is very difficult to judge throughout the movie if she was innocent or guilty.  I thought the penalty she was handed at the end was a little severe though. I only have one major question -  Does Margot Robbie actually smoke in real life? If not the amount of cigarettes she had to smoke during the movie was extradinary therefore she was a very convincing heavy smoker. There was also something very "pornagraphic" about all the figure skating costumes she had to wear too - I don't think the panty lines of them were quite right. Laughter,  shock, cringe etc throughout the movie. It made me want to go for an ice skate after the movie - well not quite wanting to do a triple axle though!
